This

Please note, this site is designed to look best in Firefox. If you are still using Internet Explorer (shame on you), you may experience some page errors and/or garbled text. about me
I am a self-employed, freelance cartoonist and published author from Lancashire, in the UK. I have been writing and drawing all my life and received my first proper commissions back in 2001, shortly after completing art college.
In 2008 I turned to writing, illustrating and publishing my books full-time, working from home. The internet provides a fantastic platform for new writers, musicians and artists to promote their work and reach a wider audience. I make full use of sites such as YouTube, Amazon and others to promote my portfolio, gain commissions and experience. I currently have 11 books in print, which I sell online via Amazon and my own shop.
My tools of the trade are Adobe Photoshop CS4, Flash and Word. I have also used Dreamweaver, GIMP, Illustrator and Fireworks, along with more familiar office programs such as Excel and Powerpoint. Of course, the most important tools of all are creativity and imagination! Click on the commissions link above to view examples of my work and shop to view my online shop. If you are a writer/artist looking to publish your work, please visit the Lulu and Squirrelverse websites (links top right). I have used these sites since 2007 and they are highly recommended.
My other interests besides drawing and writing are meteorology, travel and
collecting things! Oh and anything Moomin related. I love Moomins!
